About Yakka Works#
An indie studio from Banyuwangi, East Java, focused on TheoTown plugins, documentation, and useful digital work for its communities.
Who is behind it?#
Yakka Works is run by an independent creator known online as Yakka. After starting to play TheoTown in 2018, Yakka began creating plugins in 2020. Since then, published plugins have reached more than 1.7 million downloads in total.
Within the TheoTown community, Yakka is involved as part of the TheoTown staff, a Trusted Creator, and a sub-admin of a large Indonesian-language TheoTown Facebook group. Yakka also maintains TheoTown-related repositories and a website used by the community.
What we do#
Principles and approach#
The focus is on building things that are genuinely useful, organizing information so people can find it, and looking after the communities around each project. Interests that shape the work include web development, UI/UX, information hierarchy, operating systems, and game modding.
Important: unofficial content#
The tutorials, documentation, and tips on this site are written based on experience and research, but they are not official documentation for TheoTown or any other third-party product mentioned here. For authoritative and current information, refer to each product owner's official sources.
