  • Paid access through Patreon, Saweria, or similar channels may grant commercial and modification rights for the specific content/version obtained. Those rights remain after the subscription ends.
  • Yakka Works does not own third-party trademarks or material mentioned in its content.
  • Original Yakka Works branding, design, documentation, and tools belong to Yakka Works unless stated otherwise.

Basis of this license#

Yakka Works uses a custom license derived from the principles of Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. This is not standard CC BY 3.0: standard CC BY 3.0 permits commercial use, while Yakka Works applies additional restrictions to free-tier content. Where this document and CC BY 3.0 differ, the terms below apply.

Default free-tier rights#

Unless an individual content page states otherwise, free public content is intended for personal use. Users may generally use the content, share the content, redistribute the content, share the original Yakka Works link, and credit Yakka Works. Redistribution must retain appropriate attribution and the original Yakka Works source or link. Free-tier content is not automatically licensed for commercial use.

Users who legitimately obtain paid access through Patreon, Saweria, or another officially supported method may receive commercial rights for the specific content or version covered by their access. Those commercial rights remain valid for the content or version legitimately obtained even after the user's paid subscription ends.

Paid users must still credit Yakka Works, retain or provide the original source link where applicable, respect third-party copyrights and licenses, and respect any additional restrictions stated on the individual content page.

Modification#

Paid access may provide access to ZIP or source files and modification rights. Users with applicable paid rights may modify content and use modified versions commercially, provided that attribution and source requirements remain satisfied. The exact rights for a particular piece of content may be overridden or expanded by that content's own license notice.

Redistribution of modified content#

Modified content may be redistributed where the applicable license permits it. The redistribution must not remove or obscure Yakka Works attribution, and the original source or link and applicable licensing information should remain available. Modified Yakka Works content must not be claimed as entirely original work.

Individual exceptions#

Yakka Works may grant specific individuals additional commercial or usage rights outside the normal public licensing model, for example fellow creators or developers. These are individual permissions and do not automatically extend to other users. Specific commission agreements may also establish different rights.

Third-party content#

Yakka Works does not claim ownership of third-party content. TheoTown, Kustom, third-party documentation, community resources, images, libraries, trademarks, and other external material remain owned or licensed by their respective owners. Where Yakka Works documentation is derived, iterated, translated, or based on official documentation or community sources, the original source or owner is cited where available.

Website content#

Unless otherwise stated, original Yakka Works website content, branding, design, documentation, tools, and other original materials are owned by Yakka Works. Third-party material remains subject to its own rights.
